Im trying to be healthier. I was online and found some simple ways to boost immune health. Other than the obvious like getting exercise and fresh fruits and veggies, there are a couple I am going to start doing.
1. Lemons. Apparently lemons are really good for you. Even if you just add some fresh lemon juice in your water, it helps maintains the pH balance in our bodies and decreases our acidity levels so good bacteria can thrive and nasty viruses will not.
2. Herbal Boosts. Like vitamins and such. duh.
3. Get a full nights sleep. This is the one that is most difficult for me. I think i need 8 or more hours every night. People usually need between 6-10 hours of consistent uninterrupted sleep to meet the requirement. Also having a consistent sleep schedule, helps to maintain our internal clock and just has everything running smoother.
4. Incorporate plenty of protein in your diet. Protein is a building block for a healthy body, mind, and immune system. This one is hard as well. I’m not much of a carnivore. Occasionally I can enjoy a good steak, but i’m not much of a meat eater.
5. Drink plenty of water. I have heard so many different doctors and researchers holding vastly different and complicated opinions on how much water we need. I found one that is simple. Take your body weight. Divide by 2. and voila! That is how many ounces of water we need a day!
6. This one is my least favorite. Stop drinking coffee. :( Caffeine robs our bodies of minerals and vitamins, and it dehydrates you. 2 extra glasses of water should be supplemented for each cup of coffee drank. :( wuff.
7. And the site said, if you do one thing to boost immune health, eliminate sugar. :( another bummer. One practitioner prioritized eliminating sugar before quitting smoking.
I hope I can stick to it. :)
