The day-to-dayRSSarchive

Just a few things.

Outside My Window:  My brother is shucking corn husks into the trash. My mom’s college friend and family are coming over for dinner tonight so we are all preparing for it. I actually am hiding out right now skirting my familial responsibilities to blog instead. :)

I Am Thinking: About autistic children and work, my supervisor just called me to schedule for next week, that my room is a mess but I just cleaned it, that I am abnormally thirsty where is my water, and how much I would LOVE a neck massage. Oh also my disappointment that Transformers 2 received such terrible reviews, I thought it would be good, now I don’t know if i want to see it. The tv is waaay to loud, the house is buzzing.

From The Kitchen: My mom is chopping something on the cutting board, the water is running in the sink. The kitchen is generally is a place that try to avoid, I am not very… domestic.

I Am Wearing: Oversized white t shirt, cut off jean shorts, strappy sandals and silver earrings.

I Am Creating: Carbon dioxide.

I Am Going:  to bravely walk into the kitchen to assume my domestic responsibilities and cook something, pray I don’t burn and destroy whatever I touch.

Around the House: the washing machine is humming, my fan is gently circulating. I think Oprah is on in the family room. It is surprisingly cool inside the house for such a warm day. I always enjoy the feeling of preparation before expected people arrive. Like on Christmas and Thanksgiving, once everything is prepared, mom is still in the kitchen, but everything is in its place. Peace and anticipation.

A few of My Favorite Things:  Emails that brighten my day, getting all the groceries inside the house in one trip, and my black currant and cassis candle from anthropologie.

I am Thankful: For my heavenly Father who directs my life with His perfect plan, people around me who encourage me and make me smile, the blessing of prayer, and knowing people daily lift me up especially in this season, my mother who is always there to walk beside and hold my hand when she thinks I am nervous.

A Few Plans For the Rest of the Week: Dinner with guests tonight, hopefully the beach with k and s tomorrow. Perhaps my sister’s keeper… RH on Sunday, skyype.

Shout out to J for the prompt. Hope your all of your weekends are blissfully pleasant. :)
